We feel sure that you won't be disappointed with the extensive facilities that are available at Cottages in the Lake District.

All our properties come with ample car parking space. Although the cottages are in a tranquil setting, conveniences such as shops are available just a few miles away, and there is a pub at a similar distance. Each cottage is equipped with a television, microwave, automatic washing machine and the kinds of facilities you might otherwise expect. Items such as high chairs can be arranged in advance. Duvets with linen are provided; all we ask is that guests bring their own towels.

Shared facilities available to all guests include a payphone, a heated drying room, a barbecue and patio with furniture.

Guests have use of private lake frontage to Lake Windermere for picnicing or water-based activities.


Also available for guest use is an indoor heated swimming pool with limited changing facilities. It is open daily from 8.45am to 7.45pm in the Summer and from 8.45am to 7pm in the Winter.

There is even a fitness suite that you can use, pictured right, to keep in shape whilst you are on holiday. This costs £20 per person per week or £15 per person per weekend.

In addition, you can enjoy table tennis or simply relax in our four acres of shared woodland grounds. If you would like to try your hand at a spot of fly fishing, then you may have free use of a nearby 2.5 acre trout lake.

Bike hire is also available on site for those that wish to explore a little further afield, but without taking the car.
